Wilma Moret Obituary

Wilma J. Moret, 92, of Lower Burrell, passed away on February 16, 2024.  She was born on March 8, 1931 to the late Lawrence and Pauline (Cernenec) Kulik.  Her husband, William Moret, also preceded her in death in 2021.

Wilma was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell and was a volunteer for many years at various church functions. She was also a member of the Burrellton Women’s Club.  Wilma was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her husband and family were her first priority. Her faith was also very important to her, and she had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and St. Anthony. She had a special gift for elegant home holiday decorations and loved to shop for anything that would beautify the home.

Wilma is survived by her sons William (Amy) Moret and Timothy (Shannon) Moret and her daughters Renee (John) Duffy and Nancy Giammaria. Wilma is also survived by seven grandchildren Michael (Jennifer) Duffy, Carly (Zachery) Wilfong, Lewie (Danielle) Giammaria, Joseph Giammaria, Elena Moret, Kyle Moret, and Alison Moret and three great-granddaughters Olivia and Emma Wilfong and Penelope Duffy. Wilma is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her father, mother and husband, Wilma was preceded in death by her brothers Larry Kulik, Andrew Kulick and Clement Kulick and her sisters Stella Bednarosky, Mary Makara, Ann Pastrick and Marge Kulik and two grandsons Benjamin Moret and Dominic Moret.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell (everyone meet at the church) with burial to follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Tarentum.  All arrangements were handled by Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, 1509 5th Avenue, Arnold, John Paul Bertucci supervisor/owner.
