DECEASED FAMILY MEMBERS:  Maternal Grandparents Julian and Stella Marika and her Paternal Grandparents Val L. “Shiek” and Catherine Rusiewicz.  

MEMBERSHIPS/ INTERESTS:  She was a 1995 graduate of Highlands High School and a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education; at Gannon University she received a Masters Degree in Elementary Education in 2001. Erica taught Elementary Education at Highlands School District at Fairmont Elementary for 8 years. She was a proud Girl Scout Troop leader of Troop #58407 and a member of the Riverside Women’s Association of Oakmont. She volunteered for educational organizations for the Riverview School District and the community of Oakmont. She enjoyed vacations with family and friends at the beach, working in her yard, making her home a home and also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Erica lived her life dedicated to Ben, Molly and Ryan.     

 SURVIVORS:  Husband, Dr. John T. Hower of 15 years Oakmont, 3 children, Benjamin, Molly and Ryan Hower, Oakmont, her parents, Michael and Noreen (Marika) Rusiewicz, Natrona Heights, Sister, Jennifer (Tim) Christy, Natrona Heights.  Also survived by Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.

VISITATION TIME AND WHERE:    Friends will be received Sunday 7-9 P.M. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc., 1509 5^th Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, Owner-Supervisor. 

FUNERAL TIME & PLACE:  Prayers of transfer will take place Tuesday  9:20 A.M. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St Joseph’s R.C. Church at the St. Ladislaus worship site, Natrona.           

BURIAL: Verona-Oakmont Cemetery Mausoleum, Oakmont
