Giuseppe "Joe" Turco, 86, of Arnold, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, after a three-year battle with congestive heart failure. Born Oct. 26, 1930, in Lago, Italy, he was a son of the late Nicola and Pasqualina Turco. Joe was employed by Conrail Railroad for more than 40 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Mt. St. Peter Parish and the Columbiana Club, both in New Kensington. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Mafalda Turco; his second wife, Raffaela Turco; and his three brothers, Antonio, Domenic and Angelo Turco. He is survived by his children, Richard and Christine Turco, Maria Bonacci and Lisa and Robert Aloe; his beloved grandchildren, Francesca Aloe, Nicholas and Anthony Turco; his three sisters-in-law, Maria Turco, Elvira Turco and Maria Turco; and his nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, Supervisor, Owner, where prayers of transfer will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Mt. St. Peter Church, New Kensington. Entombment will follow at the Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell. The family would like to thank his Kenneth Avenue neighbors and the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot for their care and compassion for Joe.
