Phyllis E. (Nelson) Bordell

Phyllis Elaine Bordell, 83, of Arnold, PA passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in Allegheny General Hospital following a long illness.  She was a devoted wife of Alfred E. Bordell, for nearly 62 years and was born in Oil City, PA, on October 14, 1933. She was a very active member of Mount Saint Peters Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, PA where she was involved with many ministries over the years including the Italian Festa, Soup for the Soul, and Addolorata Society.  She was always willing and ready to serve in any area of need to her family, friends and church.  She dearly loved her family and had a love for cooking for her family and others.  She is survived by her husband, Alfred E. Bordell and her sons Michael of Springfield, VA, Jeffrey of Arnold and James of Jim Thorpe, PA and daughter Kathryn Bordell Medred and husband Bill Medred of Bradenton, FL, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, 1509 Fifth Avenue, Arnold, PA., JohnPaul Bertucci, Owner-Supervisor.  Prayers of transfer will take place at 9:30 A.M., Friday in the funeral home, followed at 10 A.M. by a funeral mass in Mount Saint Peters Roman Catholic Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
