George Kraynick Obituary

George L. Kraynick, 89, of Ford City passed away on April 3, 2024, at West Penn Hospital.  He was the son of the late George and Mary (Warchol) Kraynick. 

George attended St. Mary’s School in New Kensington and was also a graduate of both Ken High and Penn State.  He was a Korean War Veteran serving with the Army.  George was a 6th  degree black belt in Taekwondo and taught black belt classes for many years.  He was formerly a parts manager for Glenn Buick for many years and various other dealerships.  George was very proud of his Polish and Catholic heritage and loved going to Mass.     

George is survived by his son, George (Stephanie) Kraynick of Minnesota and daughters, Jennifer (Nick) Lombardo of Lower Burrell, and Mary Elizabeth Stump of Kittanning.  He is also survived by his former wife and dear friend, Kathy Kraynick, her family along with numerous stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  He will also be greatly missed by his foster son Buddy, who called him “Daddy George”.

Visitation will be Wednesday 9 a.m. until time of Prayers of Transfer at 9:30 a.m. in the Guinta-Bertucci Funeral Home, 1509 Fifth Avenue, Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner/supervisor.  A Funeral Mass will follow 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s R.C. Church, New Kensington.  Burial will be private.    

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Mary of Czestochowa R.C. Church, New Kensington.
