Arthur P. Costantino, 90, of New Kensington, passed away 7/13/17, at the William Penn Care Center in Jeannette, PA. Born March 14th, 1927, in Freeport, he resided in New Kensington since 1955.
Art was a 1945 graduate of Freeport High School and an Army veteran during the Korean War. He was employed as a carpenter by Allegheny Ludlum for 43 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member and active volunteer of Mount St. Peter Church, New Kensington serving on the Holy Name Society, the Annual Festa committee, and volunteered in the Mary Queen of Apostles school cafeteria. Art enjoyed golfing, bowling, visiting with friends at the barber shop, watching Pittsburgh sports on TV and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Art was the son of the late John and Mary (Rizzo) Costantino. He was also preceded in death by his wife Grace in 2003, brothers Joseph, John and Alfred, and sisters, Catherine Bussard and Mary Steele.
He is survived by his daughters Christine Anderson, her husband Donald and sons, Stephen and John, of Murrysville; Lynda Geyer and husband, Frank, of Tucson, AZ; son John and his wife, Susan (Tabacek), of Hamilton, OH; brothers, Charles and wife, Teresa, of Menifee, CA; Robert and wife, Linda, of Tucson, AZ; and Richard and wife, Donna, of Concord, NC; and sisters, Emma Powers of Arlington, VA, Margaret Costantino of New Kensington, and Betty Basham of Fairfax, Va. He is also survived by more than 30 nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday 7/17/17 from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc. 1509 Fifth Avenue, Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, Owner-Supervisor.. Prayers of transfer will take place Tuesday 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
