Flora Anna (Bartoli) Lesko

Flora B.  Lesko, 86, of Denton, TX, died on February 23, 3017 of complications from Alzheimer’s Disease.

Known as Flo or Miss Flo, she was born to Giuseppina “Josephine” (Chiodini)  and Silvio Bartoli on June 28, 1930 in Arnold, PA.  She is a 1948 graduate of Arnold High School.

While acting in New Kensington Little Theater, she met William J. (Bill) Lesko, whom she married in 1954.  Together they made a life together in many different states, including Missouri, Pennsylvania, New York, North Dakota, and Texas.  A dedicated and loving wife and mother, Flo served primarily as a homemaker until the early 1980s, when she began working at United Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.  As receptionist in the Radiation Therapy unit, she made good friends and found a career that was perfectly suited to her empathetic and caring nature.  Upon retirement, she and Bill traveled and volunteered in the communities in which they lived.  Her hobbies in the later years included attending theater productions, walking (she was a Trailblazer), and reading.                                                                                          

Miss Flo was preceded in death by her beloved Bill; her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Elda and Angelo Fasano; and her brother, Guerino Bartoli.  She is survived by her daughter, Silvia Lesko of Denton, TX; her daughter and son-in law Angela and Ken Krahulec of Layton, UT; two grandchildren, Kerry Ann Mis and John Joseph Keane, IV, and one great-grandson, Darby Mis, all of Connecticut. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. St. Peter  R.C. Church in New Kensington, with entombment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park Temple of Love Mausoleum. 

Flo will be remembered most for her sense of humor, her unfailing kindness, her strong work ethic, and her love for her family.
