Frances (Putirka) Veltri

Frances Veltri, 91, of Naples, Fla., died Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Naples Community Hospital, Naples, Fla. She was born June 29, 1926, in Blairsville, daughter of the late Frank and Mary L. (Putirka) Gaston. She was the wife of the late John Veltri, who died in 2005. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded by three brothers, Leonard, Frank and Lou Gaston; sister, Mary Gaston; uncle, Clem Putirka; and also preceded by relatives, Nick and Minnie Veltri, Joseph and Fina Veltri and Ange and Frank Seguiti. Frances was originally from Tarentum, moved to New Kensington, then Carlisle, and finally to Naples, Fla., in 1986. She was an avid gardener, growing palm trees from seed and loved being a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda (Vee) Bundy, of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Bernard Gaston; three sisters, Eleanor Borish, Betty Cheran Nancy Kralick; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner-supervisor. Prayers of transfer will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington.
