DECEASED FAMILY MEMBERS: Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Veltri and a sister, Rose Tallarico.
MEMBERSHIPS/ INTERESTS: He was a member of Mt. St. Peter R.C. Church, New Kensington, where he was active as a member of the Usher’s Club and volunteered for the Italian Festa, fish fry and food bank. Also, he was a member and officer of both the Italian Sons and Daughters of America and Italian American Educational Society, the Columbiana, 7th St. Sportsmen, New Kensington, Knights of Columbus, New Kensington and American Legion. Geno served his country in the Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict and was a graduate of Ken-Hi with the Class of 1948.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Julianne “Julie” (Rakvic) Veltri of 47years, New Kensington, Daughter, Jamie Ann Veltri, Butler, Son, Geno Anthony Veltri, Pittsburgh, and a Brother, James Veltri, Texas. Also survived by a Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Raymond and Helen Rakvic, New Kensington and Nieces and Nephews.
VISITATION TIME & WHERE: Friends will be received Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 P.M., in the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc. 1509 5th Ave. Arnold, Pa 15068, JohnPaul Bertucci, Owner/Supervisor.
FUNERAL TIME & PLACE: Prayer of transfer will take place Saturday, 9:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 A.M. in Mt. St. Peter Church.
BURIAL: will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell
