Louis J. Cornwell, 71, of Lower Burrell, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, in his residence. He was born Nov. 25, 1946, in New Kensington, to the late Virgil and Louise Cornwell. Louis retired from the Army after 22 years as a Sergeant First Class and served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed golf, running, fishing and all Pittsburgh sports. Also, he was a social member of Arnold No. 2 Fireman's Club. He is survived by a son, Tony (Ashley) Cornwell, of Wisconsin; two daughters, Debbie (Daniel Hosac) Dilks, of Lower Burrell, and Michelle (Tom Fjellerad) Clark, of Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren, Ryan Dilks Sr., Stephanie Dilks, Amanda Dilks, Michael Martin, Corin Hendges, Jaiden Clark, Arya Fjellerad, Calleigh Cornwell, Hayleigh Cornwell and twins, Luke and Leia Cornwell; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Dilks Jr., Serenity Samuels, Emmitt Peoples and one on the way, Baby Boy Samuels. Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, and at 10:00 A.M. there will be a funeral liturgy outside Mass in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner-supervisor.
