Mary Janice (Gigliotti) Tallarico

Mary Janice Tallarico, 78, of Lower Burrell, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, in her residence. She was born May 19, 1939, in Pittsburgh, to the late Ralph and Carmelina (Bonacci) Gigliotti. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, and the Columbiana Ladies Lodge and Forward America Lodge, both formerly in Arnold. Mary Janice enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her family. Throughout all of her health challenges over the years, she showed tremendous strength and lived her life with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Nicholas Gigliotti. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James T. "Jimmy" Tallarico, of Lower Burrell; a son, David Tallarico, of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Gina Tallarico, of Lower Burrell; a grandson, Justin Hall, of Lower Burrell; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 5th Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner-supervisor. Prayers of transfer will take place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed at 10 a.m. by a funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Arnold.
