Christopher "Chris" Bentley, 55, of Lower Burrell, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Aspinwall. He was born Aug. 11, 1963, in Natrona Heights, son of the late Melvin L. and Barbara F. (Antkoviak) Bentley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Brian K. Bentley; maternal grandparents, Bruno and Helen Antkoviak; and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Hazel (Bentley) Pajerski. Chris attended both St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, and St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. He graduated from Burrell High School, class of 1982, loved cars, donated time to Relay for Life organization, and donated DJ services to the American Cancer Society, with whom he was involved. He always greeted customers and everyone at Community Market, Shop 'n Save and Foodland with a smile and also greeted the public the same way. A lot of time was spent as a salesman at various car dealers. At one time, he was councilman at large for the City of Lower Burrell, a member of Wink, New Kensington Restoration Project, and was active in local politics and worked on the Voter's Board of Electors. Survivors include a brother, Timothy S. Bentley, of Lower Burrell; a sister, Sandra (Joseph) Stavely, of Ohio; an aunt, Bernadette Antkoviak, of Harrisburg; and his loving dog, Tanner.
