Robert Mazzotta Obituary

A lifetime resident of New Kensington, Bob Mazzotta, 94, leaves a legacy of a large, loving family who count themselves blest to have had him as their husband, father, grand and great grandfather.

Bob, son of James and Mary Mazzotta, was one of 8 children. (2 of Bob’s siblings, Evelyn Ciuffoletti, 96 of MI, and Gene Mazzotta, 92 of NC, are still with us to celebrate his life.

Bob graduated from Ken Hi and immediately enlisted in the Navy to serve in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He returned from the war, and fortunately met and married the love of his life, Bea Terejko of Harwick, in 1950. They created a loving family of 4 children, Debbie (Barry) Bier, Rob (Janet) Mazzotta, Carole (Glenn) Schubert and Gary (Kathy) Mazzotta, and have enjoyed 8 Grandkids (Cori, Brooke (Brian), Zack (Jenni), Jeremy (Amy), Lindsay (Jeremy), Jake, Danielle, Nathan), 7 great grandchildren with an 8th expected soon (Angelina, Tony, Bryn, Owen, Parker, Luca, Liviana, baby boy Mazzotta August 2018).

Bob retired from a career at Alcoa and along with his brother Vic (deceased) started Beacon Printing Co., which enjoyed 50 years of success. He was a life-long member of Mt. St. Peter Church. A natural at golf, and bowling, Bob was a league regular. He and Bea have enjoyed decades of dining out with their close friends, large, loud family gatherings, and quiet ‘neighborhood gazing’ from their front porch.

Though Bob will be sorely missed, he will be fondly remembered for his ready smile, his great sense of humor and as a wonderful role model to us, his family.

Friends will be received Saturday 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at which time prayers of transfer will be held in the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc. 1509 5th Ave. Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, Owner-Suprv..
