Teresa M. Zumpano

Teresa M. "Nenu" Zumpano, 100, of New Kensington, died peacefully with her family by her side, Friday, March 16, 2018, in the Willows at Presbyterian Senior Care, Oakmont. She was born Oct. 23, 1917, in New Kensington, to the late Vincenzo and Mary (Paletta) Zumpano. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Marie Scanga and Mary Zumpano. She was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and the Addolorata Society of the church. Nenu supremely loved her family and church and dedicated her life to both, spending most of her time taking care of her special needs younger sister and was a tireless worker at most all church functions. She was an outstanding baker and meticulous homemaker. A special thank you to the nursing staff at the Willows for their excellent, tender love and care of Nenu. She is survived by her Goddaughter Teri Tosto of New Kensington, many other cousins and very dear friends. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 5th Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner-supervisor. Prayers of transfer will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed at 11 a.m. by a Funeral Mass in Mt. St. Peter Church, New Kensington. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Memorial contributions can be made to the Addolorata Society of Mt. St. Peter Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068.
