Alvera C (Galie) Pellegrino

Alvera C Pellegrino, 93, of New Kensington, passed away September 2, 2025.  She was born in Arnold on October 9, 1931, to the late Louis and Mary (DeValerio) Galie.  Besides her parents, Alvera was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pellegrino in 1989, brothers Arthur, Adam, Albert, and Alfred, a sister, Ann DeFelice, and a stepdaughter Patricia Blasco. 

Alvera was a member of Mt. St. Peter RC Church, IAES, and Arnold #1 Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed the Ezekiel Prayer Group, bingo, dancing and shopping. 

She was a lifelong resident of the community and was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion. Alvera enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, creating cherished memories that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Alvera is survived by several nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank Platinum Ridge Center for their compassion and care during her time there. 

At the family’s request, services were private.  Arrangements were entrusted in the care of Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, 1509 5th Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner/supervisor.
