Angelo R. Berardone, 90, of New Kensington, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, in Westminster Place, Oakmont. He was born Jan. 9, 1931, in New Kensington, to the late Giuseppe and Isabelle (Agnata) Berardone. He was married to Patricia (Werner) Berardone, who died in 2019. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Carol Berardone; a brother, Patsy Berardone; and a sister, Anna Goodlow. He was a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, and the Golf and Bowling League of the church. Also, he was a life member of the Lower Burrell VFW and the Knights of Columbus. Ange was employed by Allegheny County Port Authority as a maintenance supervisor for many years. He proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean War, after graduating from Ken Hi in 1949. Ange loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed Sunday dinners together. Survivors include two sons, Vincent Berardone, of New Kensington, and Dino Berardone, of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Sylvia Berardone, of Tarentum, Annette (Jim) Meyers, of Lower Burrell, and Gina (David) Sarniak, of Lower Burrell, three grandchildren, Morgan Sarniak, Jessica Berardone and Jimmy Meyers; and one great-grandson, Keadon Johnson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner/supervisor. A funeral liturgy outside Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by burial at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
