Anthony DePetro, 91, of New Kensington, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot. He was born May 21, 1927, in Arnold, to the late Alberto and Elizabeth (Bartoni) DePetro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Amelia "Millie" Ardjewski. He was a proud World War II Navy veteran and he worked for Westinghouse in Cheswick as an inspector for 33 years. He and his wife Julia were extremely active in their grandchildren's sporting events and he was referred to by all as "Pap." Tony was very proud of his grandchildren's accomplishments and his family was his life. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Julia E. (Lacinski) DePetro, two daughters, Laurene (John Loehner) Bonetto and Lisa (Ed) Bayotlang, both of Plum; three grandchildren, Keith Bonetto, Anthony "AJ" (Amy DeVite) Bonetto and Lauren Bayotlang; a sister, Judy Valenti, of Arizona; and a brother, Albert "Duce" DePetro, of Florida. The family would like to acknowledge his dear friend and neighbor Carl Sakolsky. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner-supervisor.
