Artemis S. Johnas, 98, of New Kensington, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at Platinum Ridge Center, Brackenridge. She was born Oct. 15, 1922, in New Kensington, daughter of the late George and Magdalene (Phokianos) Skegas. Besides her parents, she was preceded by two brothers, Nickolas and John Skegas, and four sisters, Karoline, Helen, Mary and Evangeline. She enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with her family. Survivors include two sons, George Johnas and William Johnas, both of New Kensington; two grandchildren, Samantha (Anthony) Branchelli, of New York, and Billy Johnas, of Florida; and three great-grandchildren, Adriana, Mario and Isabella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci owner/supervisor, where a Trisagion service will be held at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
