Betty Marsico, 96, formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, in Export.
She was born on July 29, 1929, in Arnold, to the late Anthony and Elizabeth (DeFlorio) DeValeria. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony F. Marsico, in 2007, and by her brother, Herman DeValeria, and his wife, Jean.
A proud graduate of Arnold High School, Class of 1947, Betty lived a full and joyful life. She enjoyed traveling, listening to music, movies, and playing cards. She never met a cookie she didn’t like and found her greatest happiness in spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her son, Frank Marsico and her daughter Karol Marsico, both of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Patrick (Jamie) Crummie and Elise (Michael) Valentine; and four great-grandchildren, Millie, River, Lyla, and Julien. She is also survived by her brother, Bob (Gert) DeValeria, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the care and compassion provided by Monarch Hospice and the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living in Murrysville.
Services are private, and arrangements were entrusted to the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc., 1509 5th Avenue, Arnold, PA 15068.
