Dorothy Rose (Ferrante) Marinucci

Mrs. Dorothy Rose Marinucci, 94, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on December 15, 2024, at Harmar Village Care Center, Cheswick, PA. Dorothy was born on September 21, 1930, to the late William and Amelia (Spaniel) Ferrante. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who passed away in 2016 and an infant brother, Dominic.

Dorothy was a graduate of Vandergrift High School and received a Bachelor of Music Education in Seton Hill University, Greensburg. Dorothy was a member of Mt. St. Peter R.C. Church, New Kensington, the Addolorata Society, the Mt. St. Peter Resurrection Choir, and the CD of A.   She was a music teacher for Arnold High School for 10 years, Mt. St. Peter School for 20+ years, taught piano out of her home, and volunteered at both the Fish Fry and Trash and Treasure Sale of the church.  She enjoyed cooking, line dancing, and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Frank (Amy) Marinucci, two daughters, Nancy (Larry) Iervoline and Maria (Jim) Marcinak, a brother Donald (Joan) Ferrante, Arnold, and a sister, Teresa Verteramo, Lower Burrell. Also surviving Dorothy are five grandchildren, Hanna (Chris) Marcinak, Garrett Marcinak, Francesca Iervoline, Max (Amanda) Iervoline, and Allie (Jim) Johnson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, 1509 Fifth Avenue, Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner/supervisor. Prayers of Transfer will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Entombment will be at Greenwood Mausoleum.
