Fortunato “Fred” Pagliaro, (Freddy Pags), age 69, of Shaler Township, formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026. Born on October 28, 1956, in Cleto, Italy, he was the son of the late Carmine and Mafalda (Bruni) Pagliaro. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolina (Folino) Pagliaro; his children, Cristina (Jason) McGinn, Andrew Palamides, Marco Pagliaro, and Julianna Pagliaro; and his cherished grandchildren, Adelina and Luca McGinn. He also adored spending time with his grandpup, Ellie. Fred is further survived by his sister, Maria Pagliaro, and his brother, Gennaro Pagliaro, both of New Kensington, PA.
Fred attended Mount Saint Peters, Valley High School and then St. Francis University in Loretto, PA, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He was a proud member of the Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and also played football for the Red Flash. Fred went on to work as an accountant at Corporate Jets Inc. from 1980 to 2008, then continued his career in accounting until he retired in 2024.
Fred was the kind of person whose presence made everyone feel warmer and brighter. His contagious laugh could fill a room and lift anyone’s spirits, and his smile made you feel instantly at home. He took great joy in entertaining and hosting friends and family for any occasion. He especially cherished life’s simple moments—early mornings with a cup of coffee on the back deck, time spent on the golf course, family vacations to Myrtle Beach, and reminiscing about the funny moments in life. Fred also had a sweet tooth for ice cream, especially when it was shared with his children and grandchildren (and even better when they picked up the tab).
He will be deeply missed for the joy he shared, the wisdom he offered, and the love he gave so freely; his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Friends will be received on Sunday April 12, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. in the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc. 1509 Fifth Ave. Arnold, Pa 15068, JohnPaul Bertucci, Owner/ Supervisor.
