Frances E. Massimini, 104, of Arnold, died Monday, July 30, 2018, in her residence. She was born March 25, 1914, in Sewickley, daughter of the late John and Catherine Marek. She was the wife of the late James V. Massimini, who died in 2005. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded by two son-in-laws, Frank D. Yannuzzi Sr. and Edmond J. Mac; and two brothers, John and Tom Marek, and five sisters, Ann Lasobic, Jennie Ritter, Josephine Young, Katherine Powell and Pauline Black. She was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, and the Addolorata Society of the church. She was also a member of Arnold Ladies Auxiliary of Arnold Fire Co.'s No. 1 and 2, a life member of Lower Burrell VFW and life member of the Western PA Fireman's Association, Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, baking, especially her famous Mim's chocolate chip cookies, reading, keeping a good lawn and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Frances "Jean" Yannuzzi, of Tarentum, and Henrietta Mac, of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Steven (Nancy) Yannuzzi, Michelle (Roy) Brooks, Vicki (Donald) Frantz, Eric Mac, Brian (Brooke) Mac, Douglas (Wreni) Mac and Frank (Joyce) Yannuzzi Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Joe Marek, of Penn Hills, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, PA 15068. Prayer of transfer will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
