Francis J Glogowski

Francis J. Glogowski, 89, of New Kensington, passed peacefully on June 26, 2025. He was born on January 3, 1936, in Natrona, to the late Steven and Josephine (Ludzia) Glogowski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, David Martinelli, and his brother, Edward Glogowski.

Francis is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Shirley (Naviglia) Glogowski; his son, Francis Glogowski of Cranberry; two daughters, Paula Martinelli and Karen (Jeff) Stratton both of WV; He was a beloved grandfather to five grandchildren: Sarah (Matthew) Zeh, Lydia (Sergio) Tapia, Deborah Martinelli, Caroline Stratton, and Lillian Stratton; and a cherished great-grandfather to Luca, Eliana, Charles, and Andrew. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine Malak of Cranberry, and his son-in-law, David Martinelli. along with many nieces and nephews who held him dear.

A naturally gifted student, Francis excelled in chemistry and was hired straight out of high school by Alcoa, where he built a successful career spanning 37 years. He was known for his hard work, loyalty, and bright mind.

Outside of work, Francis had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, tending to his yard, and traveling with his wife. A history enthusiast and lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he also found his greatest joy in time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc., 1509 Fifth Avenue, Arnold, PA 15068, JohnPaul Bertucci, Supervisor / Owner.

Prayers of transfer will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.
