James Andrew Sites, 90, of New Kensington, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, in his home. He was born May 23, 1930, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Charles A. and Pauline (Gelwicks) Sites. He was married to wife of 46 years, Colleen (McGarrity) Sites, of New Kensington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. He attended St. Vincent Seminary for six years and also attended Duquesne University. Mr. Sites served as a diocesan priest in the Pittsburgh Diocese for 19 years. Also, he was the owner of Trinity House in Tarentum for 19 years and enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, James Sites, Robert (Mary) Sites and David (Amanda) Sites; eight grandchildren, Austin (Liz Karlson), Victoria Sciortino, Fallon, Vincent, Gianna, Layla, Piper and Charlee; and two great-grandsons, Andrew Jon Sites and Alexsander James Sites. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and the McDonald's coffee club gang. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci owner/supervisor. Prayers of transfer will take place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Burial will be private.
