Mr. James “Vince” Yannuzzi, 99, of Lower Burrell passed away peacefully on July 13, 2022 at Logan Place Personal Care Home, New Kensington after living independently up until a month ago. Mr. Yannuzzi was born on December 12, 1922 in Springdale to the late Frank and Concetta (Curcio)Yannuzzi.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (Prazenica) Yannuzzi in 2016, a brother Angelo “Ralph” Yannuzzi, two sisters Gloria and Anna Yannuzzi, and a granddaughter, Monica Kaye (David) Wanner.
Mr. Yannuzzi previously owned and operated Vince’s Refrigeration Service and provided refrigeration services to all of our local community. Vince could repair anything no matter how old it was. His dedicated wife “Betty” of 64 years was his bookkeeper, scheduler, and receptionist.
Mr. Yannuzzi was a US Navy Veteran and served in World War II on the USS Uvalde. He was one of the original members of Mt. St. Peter R.C. Church that built both the church and the school. For over 70 years, he maintained all the equipment at both the church and school and local fire departments. He enjoyed going in the woods to pick mushrooms and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Pirates. He also enjoyed going on casino trips to Atlantic City with his wife. Mr. Yannuzzi enjoyed visiting his friends and discussing old times with no filter. He also enjoyed selling tickets for fundraisers.
He is survived by his sons Richard (Deborah) Yannuzzi of Coatesville and Jeffrey (Kate) Yannuzzi of Wexford, and a daughter Deborah (Robert) Boudrow of Boston, MA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Craig (Jayme) Yannuzzi, Michelle Yannuzzi, Brian (Hollie) Yannuzzi, and Randall (Leena Goulding) Yannuzzi and two great granddaughters, Charlotte and Addison Yannuzzi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 5 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Harold Mele presiding in the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc. 1509 5th Avenue, Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci Owner/Supervisor. Burial will be private.
