Jean Arabia Obituary

Jean Arabia, 99, went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2026.

Jean was born on March 8, 1926, in Tarentum, PA to the late Antonia (Markiewicz) and John Brzozowski. Her father died when Jean was 2 months old and she was raised by her stepfather, Joseph Kozlowski. Her mother Antonia and Joseph married and blended their two families together.

Jean married the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Arabia, on January 31, 1948. Together, they raised 3 children.

Jean enjoyed the simple things in life: going to her family camp, swinging on a porch swing, and dancing, especially to polkas. She loved collecting and looking through coins, playing bingo, cards, thrifting, chocolate candy and the crazy money auction at Concordia. She enjoyed watching The Show of Homes and Christian television. Jean was a member of Mt. St. Peter Church, and she loved Jesus and would often read her Bible. She was concerned for everyone’s eternal salvation and loved talking about Jesus to everyone she met. She previously attended Ezekiel 37 prayer meetings.  Above all else, Jean loved spending time with her family and looked forward to any occasion that brought her family together. She would always bring snacks and candy and any items she bought at the Concordia crazy money auction for her great-grandchildren to enjoy. When her grandchildren were younger, they looked forward to their yearly Christmas stockings she would assemble for them.

Jean is survived by her twin sons, Frank (Linda) Arabia and John (Michele) Arabia, grandchildren, Dustin (Melissa) Arabia, Melissa (Chuck) Hawk, Christian (Melissa) Arabia, Nathan (Casey) Arabia, Jonathan Arabia, Patrick (Liz) Arabia and Michael Arabia, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter whom she adored. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Shoemaker.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, and daughter Judith Guenther, son-in-law Richard Guenther, her twin brothers Adam (infant) and Joseph Brzozowski, Henry Kozlowski-Krenn, sisters Mary Sternagel, Veronica Rolles, Helen Wasilowski, Sophia Papso, and her beloved nurse’s aide and friend from Concordia, Kayla Misner.

The family would like to thank God for blessing us with our mother and for the long life he bestowed on her. We would also like to thank the exceptional nurses and all the staff at the Oertel Building of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot for the loving care their mother received from them. She truly enjoyed her life there.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 27th from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home 1509 Fifth Avenue Arnold, Pa 15068, JohnPaul Bertucci, Owner/Supervisor.
