Jean Irene (VanTine) Hecker

Jean Irene Hecker , 69, of New Kensington went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 22, 2016. Born August 23, 1947 to the late John W. and Ophelia H. VanTine Sr. She was the sister of 7 brothers and 1 sister. Jean is survived by her only and loving son, Kenneth L. Moore Jr. and his wife Vicki, a granddaughter, whom she raised, Angel M. Silvis. Grandmother of Matthew P. and Joseph H. Silvis, Alie E. Grogno and Natalie S. Holtz. Great-grandmother to Destiny, Mathew Jr., Sophia, Aliyha and Zander, all of the Arnold or Vandergrift areas. Survived by 29 nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her four legged companion, Precious (aka co-pilot), who never left her side. Jean was an avid fan of football, NASCAR, enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, baking and crossword puzzles. She had a heart of gold, helping anyone she could. She was a devoted member of the community who was loved and will be greatly missed by many. Due to her wishes, services will be private. Guest will be welcomed at a later date and location to celebrate her life.
