Josephine P Farinelli, 97, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
Josephine was born on June 29, 1926 in New Kensington to the late Giovanni and Amelia (Crocco) Spadaro. Josephine was also preceded in death by her husband Amadeus “Adam” Farinelli in 2009, her sister Honey Manga, and her brother John Spadaro.
Josephine was previously employed at Bell Telephone shortly after high school graduation and was also employed at Community Market in Lower Burrell and as a crossing guard for several years in Lower Burrell. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Lower Burrell and was a church greeter.
Josephine enjoyed cooking family meals, bowling, playing cards, and spending time with her family. While employed at Bell Telephone, her and her fellow employees started a card club that lasted for several years.
Josephine’s presence will be deeply missed by her sons, Rob Farinelli of Maryland and Rick (Margie) Farinelli of Lower Burrell. She is survived by her brother, Anthony (Georgene) Gallo of Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 15 at Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home Inc., 1509 Fifth Avenue, Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, Supervisor/Owner.
Prayers of Transfer will take place Saturday, March 16, 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell. Burial will be private.
