Julius C. Ciuffoletti, 88, of Arnold, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Pittsburgh. Born on April 18, 1937, in New Kensington, he was the son of the late Emilio and Irene (Zito) Ciuffoletti.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers: Frank, Mario, the Reverend Father Angelo, and Arthur Ciuffoletti.
Julius is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carol J. (Rocchi) Ciuffoletti, Arnold; his daughter, Amy (Doug McDermott) Ciuffoletti, Pittsburgh; a cherished step-granddaughter, Lillian McDermott; and his sister-in-law, Dora Ciuffoletti. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science and received a Master’s Degree of Education at Slippery Rock University. Julius was a teacher in education for over 50 years. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Julius served his country honorably and continued a lifetime of service through his time with the Peace Corps. He was a faithful member of Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church in New Kensington. Julius found joy in the simple pleasures of fishing, sharing holiday traditions with his family, and spending time with loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc. 1509 Fifth Ave. Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, supervisor/owner. Prayers of transfer will follow at 11:30 AM in the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at 12 Noon at Mount Saint Peter Church, New Kensington. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Saint Peter Food Bank.
