Linda Jean Bernardo, 71, of Pittsburgh (formerly of Lower Burrell) passed away at Grove City Hospital on October 18 with her loving family at her side. She was born on May 21, 1952 to the late Frank and Helen (Kaczor) Noga. Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Bernardo, who passed away in 2019.
Linda enjoyed many hobbies after retiring from her profession as a registered nurse. She was an excellent cook and always enjoyed preparing food for a holiday meal or family get-together. Linda loved spending time outdoors, planting and tending to her many flower beds. She had a green thumb and created a beautiful, park-like atmosphere around her home. Linda was an avid sports enthusiast and loved cheering on her grandchildren during their sporting events and watching her beloved Pittsburgh Pirates as well. Linda was especially happy when she spent family vacations at the beach.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Danyell (Jeremiah) Wann of Mercer, Julie (Duane Brown) Bernardo of Vandergrift, and Loran (Tim) McGrogan of Wexford. Also surviving Linda is her brother, Frank (Susan) Noga of Allegheny Township and 3 sisters, Dottie (Jeff) Alke, JoAnn (David) Reed of Maine, and Paula Noga of Connecticut. Linda is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Holden and Lennon Wann, Angelo Brown, and Blaine and Julien McGrogan.
