Louis Ghia Obituary

Louis V. Ghia, 91, of Arnold, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, in his residence. He was born May 5, 1929, in Renton, son of the late Delmiro and Caterina (Gianetto) Ghia. He was the husband of 70 years to Flora M. (Guercione) Ghia, of Arnold. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Stephen Beck; a brother, John Mautino; and a sister, Catherine Mondale. He was a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. He also was a member of the New Kensington Eagles, Lower Burrell VFW, Cloa Club, Columbiana Lodge, Circolo Febo and was a life member of Arnold Fire Department No. 1. Lou was an auto and truck mechanic and owned Lou Ghia Auto Repair for many years. Lou also was an Army war veteran during the Korean War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Delmiro (Denise) Ghia, of Tennessee, and James Ghia, of Nevada; and two daughters, Mary Louise (James) Kunkle, of Lower Burrell, and Catherine Beck, of Virginia; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were entrusted to the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner/supervisor.
