Louise Nodge Abati peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven, when she answered the call of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on August 17, 2024. She was welcomed home by her husband, Raymond B. Abati, who, has been patiently waiting for her since January of 1988, so they could dance together again and celebrate their 76th anniversary, with their Father in Heaven.
Louise was born on January 7, 1925, almost 100 years young. She was predeceased by her father, Louis Nodge, and her mother, Madeline Nodge. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Richard Nodge, Madeline Hanna and Joseph Nodge.
Louise was an incomparable warrior, who loved beyond comprehension, with an unbreakable bond beyond this earth. She left behind her daughter, Michele Abati, "her rock/strength, advocate and best friend" with her fiance, Daniel Torri, "her 2nd son, her artist and her “Danny Boy", who made her feel so loved. She also left behind her son, Raymond A. Abati, "her jokester and storyteller" with his partner, Deborah Morabito, who brought her smiles and kindness.
In addition, she has 2 adoring grandsons, Ray J. Abati with wife, Karla, and Michael Abati, with wife, Gabby. She also has 6 beautiful great grandchildren, Winnie, Clyde, Luna, Kaiya, Luka and Campbell.
She loved all the simple joys in life, believing TIME was the most important gift she could give or receive. Louise made countless memories, shopping with her daughter, visiting her daughter's farm, especially on holidays, watching the horses, cooking outside, enjoying the view and sunshine, playing cards, or talking about the priceless, intangible things in life, love and Jesus. She also enjoyed being with her son and grandchildren, coloring Easter eggs, teaching them of Jesus for the first time, babysitting them, listening to their sports stories and seeing her great grandchildren.
Louise also enjoyed her trips to NYC as a union president for her workplace; dancing with her husband; playing bingo with her mother; keeping up with current affairs; going to church; eating hot fudge sundaes, pasta and Reese's cups; planting, receiving and getting flowers even from the side of the road; displaying her gentle sense of humor; seeing others prosper and being a wonderful mother and friend.
Everyone knew Louise was a natural protector, listener and nurturer. She enjoyed teaching life's lessons, not only by words, but by deeds. Anyone that knew her, loved her. She epitomized compassion, kindness, grace, strength and unconditional love; she was curious, competitive, fun-loving and comical. She was a classy, giving, meticulously dressed lady that desired perfectly styled hair and manicured nails. And she was always aware of truth, especially in Jesus Christ.
