Louise Bernadette Conte, 97, of Arnold, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at UPMC East, Monroeville. She was born April 4, 1924, in New Kensington, daughter of the late Gino and Angeline (Murphy) Conte. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Peter Conte, and a sister, Carol Conte. She was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, the choir of the church since the inception to 2015, a volunteer at the church's Italian Day, food bank and the Addolorata Society; the Catholic Business Women Association, including past president; Central Valley Federal Credit Union Board secretary; Westmoreland County election volunteer; Grey Lady at the Veteran Medical Hospital in Aspinwall, both volunteering and performing; the Forward America Ladies Lodge; Allegheny Valley Concert Association, in charge of tickets sales for years; a volunteer tutor for school students and a member of the Alcoa Singers. Survivors include a sister, Lauretta (Luis) Cosenza; two nephews, Luis and David (Ann) Cosenza; two nieces, Cathy (Dale) Houser and Laurie (Kevin) Droullard; a cousin, Gino Conte, of Italy; and 24 great-nieces and nephews and nine great-great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci owner/supervisor. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Everyone please go directly to the church. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Arnold. Due to CDC guidelines, the wearing of masks is encouraged. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
