Lucille C. (Carnevale) Dorn

Lucille C. Dorn, 96, of New Kensington, went to be with the Lord surrounded by the love of her family Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, in her home. She was born Nov. 26, 1925, in New Kensington, to the late Samuel and Clara (Pernna) Carnevale. Lucille was married to the late Thomas C. Dorn, who passed away in 2001. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Patz; four brothers, Joseph Frank, James Frank, Frank Carnevale and Charles Carnevale; and two sisters, Marjorie Carnevale and Virginia Prazenica. Lucille was a lifetime member of Mt. St. Peter's Catholic Church. She loved petunias, cooking, baking, sewing and summer evenings on her porch. Lucille loved her family more than anything, especially her grandchildren who viewed her as a modern-day saint. Lucille would give you the sweater off her back or the half stick of gum from her change purse if you needed it. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Her strength, wisdom, and loving soul will be remembered forever. The family would like to thank our hospice nurse, Kathy, for her support. She is survived by two daughters, Clare (Rudy Holka) Dorn, of New Kensington, and Lorrie (Jeffrey) Campana, of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Allison Patz, April Patz, Jennifer (Bob) Campana, Thomas Campana, Carlie (Jason) Miller and Kelly (Travis) Campana; and seven great-grandchildren, Giona, Gabrielle, Lorenzo and Sergio Campana, Elijah and MacKenzie Miller and Rowan Campana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, PA 15068, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner-supervisor. A funeral liturgy outside Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Arnold. Due to CDC guidelines, the wearing of masks is encouraged.
