Mary F. (Valle) Cowen

Mary F. Cowen, 84, of Arnold, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, in her home. Born July 9, 1937, in Arnold, to the late Louis A. and Carmela (Saulle) Valle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Colleen Cowen, in 1987; and two grandchildren, Amber and Glennie Cowen. She was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. She loved her faith, had a devotion to the blessed Mother, reading, watching television, watching Sid Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins, cleaning, her dog, Nikko, and her late dog, Emmet. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was very faithful and loyal to her family. She is survived by a daughter, Jannine Hoover, of Allison Park; son, Glenn R. (Brenda) Cowen, of New Kensington; three grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Hoover and Tyler Cowen; and two great-grandchildren, Armani Mills and Isabella Cowen. She is also survived by her sister, Josephine "Jo" (John) Kane, of Lower Burrell; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, owner/supervisor. Prayers of transfer will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Arnold.
