Nick A. Veltri, 69, of Oakmont, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was the son of the late Nicols "Nick" and Filomena "Minnie" (Yaconis) Veltri. He was born June 28, 1954, in New Kensington. Nick's zest for life was evident in his love for his family and his deep appreciation for the creative arts. He was always the life of the party with his accordion playing and dancing. A natural storyteller, he expressed his creativity through acting, writing and his captivating retelling of historical events. His insight and charisma enlivened both the characters he portrayed and the stories he told, showcasing a profound understanding of the human spirit. His charismatic, larger-than-life personality is known by many as the friendly face behind Nikki's nightclubs. His ability to tell a joke, share a story, or offer a kind word will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. In his lifetime, Nick touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the creative works he left behind, the stories he shared and the love he cultivated within his family and community. He will be deeply missed, but his influence and love will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched. Nick was self-employed as the owner of a restaurant in Oakmont for many years. Nick is survived by his daughter, Kristina Veltri (Jeremy Velotta), of Oklahoma; a brother, John (Amy) Veltri, of Plum; and sisters, Christine (Gregg) Baldwin, of Florida, and Marie Jackson, of Sharpsburg.
