Robert Michael Laporte

Robert “Bob” Michael Laporte, age 63, of Arnold, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026.

Bob was known for his kindness, his deep love for his family, and his devotion to his dogs. He grew up in a tight-knit family, was proud of his Sicilian heritage, and a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and was a graduate of the police academy.

Born in Arnold, Bob was the son of the late Samuel M. Laporte and Alice F. (Minarik) Laporte. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph (Jeanne d.2024) Laporte and Daniel (Phyllis) Laporte. He leaves behind his nephew Samuel (Mallory) Laporte, and nieces Betsy Laporte and Jennifer Laporte. Bob was a cherished great-uncle to Lily, Isla, Daniel, Gloria, and Hazel, who will always remember him for his playful jokes and the warmth of his love.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Gabriella, and his parents.

Bob proudly served as a career police officer and retired from the New Kensington Police Department. Outside of his career, he enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling internationally, caring for his dogs, and pursuing his interest in paranormal investigation.

Bob will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Friends will be received on Monday January 19, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc. 1509 Fifth Ave. Arnold Pa 15068, Johnpaul Bertucci Owner/ Supervisor. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday January 20, 2026, 10 AM at Mt. St. Peter R.C. Church. All attending please go directly to the church. Burial will be private.
