Rose Mary (Cortese) Novick

Rose Mary Novick, 93, of Freeport, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, in her residence. She was born October 16, 1930, in Nicastro, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Rosa Maria (Caruso) Cortese. She was the wife of the late John Novick. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Tony and Joe Cortese, and 2 Sisters, Serafina Vennere and Maria Perri. Rose Mary was a member of Mt. St. Peter R. C. Church, New Kensington and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Allegheny Health Network Hospice and her 2 special nurses, Christine Dougherty and Andrea Rearick for their years of love and compassion. Surviving her are her children, John P. (Olga) Mastroianni, Moon Twp., Esther (Tim) Andrle, Mars, Michael (Karen) Mastroianni, Robinson Twp. a brother, Vince (Mary Lou) Cortese, Sewickley, 8 Grandchildren, Jamie, Christopher, Matt, Greg, Andy, Meghan, Emily and Michael, 5 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
