Samuel T Carlson

Samuel T Carlson, 30, of West Leechburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 30, 2023. He was born on June 16, 1993 to Edward and Justine (Salego) Carlson of West Leechburg. Samuel was a 2011 graduate of Leechburg High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Penn State University in 2020. Besides his parents, Samuel is survived by his brothers, Patrick, Joshua, and Phillip, his maternal grandmother, Anna Mae Salego, paternal grandmother, Jane Carlson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Samuel was a gentle, kind soul that enjoyed being around the people he loved. He will be especially missed by his dogs, Fin, Hazel, and Ellie. Viewing will be on Wednesday, January 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc., 1509 Fifth Avenue, Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci owner/supervisor. Prayers of transfer will take place on Thursday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. St. Peter R.C. Church, New Kensington. Burial will be private. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to both Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan NY and UPMC Shadyside Hospital for the care given to Sam.
