Theresa M (Barckhoff) Doman

Theresa M. Doman, 92, of Logans Ferry, passed away peacefully at her home on August 2, 2025.  She was born October 16, 1932, in Yukon, PA, to the late Alex and Ida (Noveli) Barckhoff.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John A. Doman, in 1997; her daughter, Trudy Doman, in 2015; and two brothers, Ronald (Rose) Barckhoff and Robert (Rose) Barckhoff.

Theresa is survived by her son, Randy (Beverly) Doman of Logans Ferry; two daughters, Terry (Dale) Doman-Kirkpatrick, of Ford City, and Tracey (Andrew) Kranik, Logans Ferry; three grandchildren, Dale (Dana) Kirkpatrick, Dana (Ray) LaBertew, and Donny (Natalie) Kirkpatrick; two step-grandchildren, Scott (Dina) Godleski and Stacy (Brian) Malak; five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jillian, Sonia, Piper, and Riley; four step-great-grandchildren, Ryan, Bethany, Jonathon, and Bella; one great-great-grandchild, Kahlani; several nieces and nephews, and two brothers, Richard (Virginia) Barckhoff of New Kensington and Roger Barckhoff of Texas.

Theresa loved spending time with her family, partying with friends, and cheering for Pittsburgh sports. In her younger years, she was a proud member of the LFHVFD Ladies Auxiliary—a welcome break from raising kids!  A talented seamstress, she delighted in making matching dresses for her daughters.  She and her late husband, John, were active members of the Teutonia Mannerchor German Club, where they enjoyed dancing, drinking, and celebrating life with friends old and new.

In her 60’s and 70’s, Theresa traveled to Europe multiple times, delighting in the adventure (and occasionally ignoring local customs and laws!). In her later years, she joined the Allegheny Valley YMCA, where fitness was often followed by lunches with the ladies. Her hobbies included playing cards, ceramics, word search puzzles, and most importantly, laughing and sharing her love with everyone she met. Theresa’s laughter, love, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
