William Moret Obituary

William B. Moret, 95, of Lower Burrell, passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2021. He passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct. 15, 1926, in Braeburn, to the late August and Elena (Bottega) Moret. He was married to his wife of 66 years, Wilma (Kulik) Moret, of Lower Burrell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Benjamin Moret and Dominic Moret; and two brothers, August Moret and Geno Moret. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, and also was a CCD teacher for many years and one of the first Eucharistic ministers of the church. After his retirement, he attended daily Mass, leading the rosary and serving as an altar server. His faith was very important to him, and he had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. He retired from Braeburn Alloy Steel as a foreman after 48 years and was a proud Army Air Corps veteran during World War II. Bill enjoyed gardening and was well-known for his homemade spaghetti sauce. Also, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by wife of 66 years, Wilma (Kulik) Moret, of Lower Burrell; two sons, William (Amy) Moret and Timothy (Shannon) Moret; two daughters, Renee (John) Duffy and Nancy Giammaria; seven grandchildren, Michael (fiancee Jennifer Nogay) Duffy, Carly (Zachery) Wilfong, Lewis (fiancee Danielle Young) Giammaria, Joseph Giammaria, Elena Moret, Kyle Moret and Alison Moret; also survived by a brother, Thomas Moret; two sisters, Jennie Iozzi and Bernadette (Ted) Paulovich; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 3055 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Tarentum.
