MEMBERSHIPS/ INTERESTS: Lou was a DJ and went by the name of “DJ Louie D”, and was a 1981 graduate of Valley High School. He was an excellent auto mechanic most of his life working for Goodyear Corp. and Deveraux Chevrolet in Freeport. Lou gave of his time volunteering at both Mt. St. Peter R.C. Church, New Kensington and St. Margaret Mary R.C. Church, Lower Burrell. Lou was very proud to cruise around in his Camaro Z28 and enjoyed his Harley VROD. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Dana L. (Seman) DeSocio of 30 years, Lower Burrell, 2 Sons, Louis “Luigi” F. DeSocio Jr., Uniontown, and Nicholas B. DeSocio, Lower Burrell, a Daughter, Georgee Lucia DeSocio, Lower Burrell, his Mother, Antoinette (Antenucci) DeSocio, Arnold, 2 Grandchildren, Ellie J. Torres and Roman R. DeSocio, a Brother, Joseph F. DeSocio Jr., Kittaning, 3 Aunts, Franzina DeSocio, and Carmelina DeSocio, both of Arnold and Louise (Corbert) Siegworth, Lower Burrell, Father-in-law, George Seman, Freeport, Brother-in-law James (Helen) Semanko, Freeport, 2 Sisters-in-law, Pamela (Danny) McMillen, Acme, Denise (Brian) Stairs, Acme. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins in Italy and nieces and nephews.
VISITATION TIME AND WHERE: Friends will be received Thursday, 7-9 P.M. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 P.M. in the Giunta-Bertucci Funeral Home, Inc., 1509 5th Ave., Arnold, JohnPaul Bertucci, Owner-Supervisor.
FUNERAL TIME & PLACE: Prayers of transfer will take place Saturday, 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Mt. St. Peter Church.
