Please accept my sincere sorrow for the loss of your very dear Mother.  She was a good friend and travelling companion to me while I lived and worked in Washington, Pa.  I truly cherish fond memories of our times together, she was a very special lady that truly had a love of life and always looked at a "full glass" vs. "half empty" philosophy.  You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers and may you always feel the total love and caring that she always held for you.

Tammy, Tommy and Family

We are so sorry about your loss. Your Mother was always so nice to the neighborhood children (myself included). We were always welcomed in to your house and we ate a lot of great food and spent many nights sleeping over, having so much fun! I will never forget her beautiful face and smile.
I am sure she is with GOD and now at peace. GOD Bless and watch over you and yours.

Dear Tammy, James, and family,

We were so sorry to hear about your mom and grandma's passing.  Tammy,
I want to say the different times I was able to chat with your mom over the years, she always showed a caringness about her.  She had a genuine heart for people, but also was one of the most candid women I have met.
God bless you and your family with peace through this difficult time knowing that your mom is truly a beautiful angel in God's arms now.

If there is anything you need we are here for you.

Love,
The Spangler family

Dear Tom and Tammy,
I worked in the forestry office next to Sandy since 1973.  We became friends almost immediately - she took me under her wing, advised me about raising my own kids, shared lots of stories about her own. Through her good times and hardships I came to admire her greatly.

On my way home from the memorial service today (I couldn't stay for the meal/fellowship) I could not help but reflect on the eulogies.  James was fantastic. His very presence made the case for Sandy's love for her family above all. Bev's stories brought back memories of the ups and downs in her life, and how she faced everything with courage and gusto.  The woman who spoke last and mentioned that Aunt Margaret was Sandy's spiritual inspiration reminded me of how much Sandy loved her her Aunt Margaret.  How many times I listened to Sandy talk about her Aunt Margaret, whom she held in highest esteem.  And your comment, Tammy, about your mom's red lipstick and nails - How true!  Reminds me of the time shortly after Tom died, she had not yet come back to work, and I stopped to see her, unannounced.  After a quick greeting, she disappeared for a few minutes and returned with a fresh coat of lipstick.

It was a wonderful celebration today, kids, and though sad, I feel most fortunate to have known and shared life with Sandy, your mom.  God bless you and your families and Terri's family as well.
Sincerely,  Paul Whipkey

Tammy, Tom and entire family:

Have been very sad ever since Beverly told me of your Mom's returning illness.  As everyone did, I always enjoyed seeing and talking to your Mom.  She was truly a wonderful, friendly and kind person.  I have never heard anyone say one word against her and that is something to be said!
I am sorry I couldn't be with you at the memorial, but I plan to send a donation in her memory to Good Samaritan Hospice.

Love and prayers,
Marianne

There wasn't any one in Carmichaels that didn't know Sandy ..... a beautiful lady with a beautiful smile.  While she will be sadly missed, comfort is found in knowing she is at peace and no longer in pain.  May God bless the family and comfort them at this time.

Tammy-  Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. Despite being in that tiny office on Perry Highway and dealing with dance moms all day, I never heard her utter a complaint or a nasty word.  She was all smiles and being with her was always a pleasure. She was truly one of a kind.

May she rest in peace.

We are saddened to hear of Sandy's passing and are so very thankful we were able to spend some time with her this past Sept. at the all class reunion. She looked absolutely beautiful that night and that's how we will remember her. Will's father, Harry Swihart, had the honor of crowning her when she was Coal Queen.

Just 4 months ago I seen Sandy at our class reunion and she was just as bubbly as ever.  No one would have thought she would be gone so soon.  Her passing is a great loss to her family and friends.  God does work in mysterious ways and we are not sure why he took her so soon, but he must have other plans for her.  To all of Sandy's family and close friends, we extend our deepest sympathy. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers.  God bless her and may her soul rest in peace.

What an amazing woman my cousin Sandy was.  She thought only of her family and friends and her church.  We all thought that  she had beaten this dreaded disease but God had his own plans for her.  She will always be my Angel in heaven.  I will always treasure my memories of my traveling buddy.  I love you Sandy with all my heart and will miss you until we meet again in heaven.
